Terms and Conditions

1. Event organisation
The Katanga Business Meeting (KBM) is a business forum bringing together public decision-makers, investors, institutions, and companies around economic and industrial opportunities in the south of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The event includes:
- conferences and round tables,
- exhibition and demonstration spaces,
- business meetings and networking sessions,
- the use of event applications to facilitate connections,
- as well as, in some cases, industrial site visits.
The event is organised by Musal SARL, the official organiser of the Katanga Business Meeting.
2. Participation methods
The Katanga Business Meeting offers several participation formats.
3. Exhibition access
Access to the exhibition area and certain networking zones is free for registered visitors.
Pre-registration is required to receive an access badge.
4. Conference access
Access to conferences, round tables, and strategic sessions is reserved for conference pass holders.
This may include:
- access to all conference sessions,
- access to specific networking activities,
- access to selected activities reserved for participants.
5. Registration and validation
Participation in KBM requires prior registration via the official event platforms.
Registration is considered confirmed only after:
- validation of ticket payment, or
- confirmation of an invitation or accreditation.
The organiser reserves the right to verify eligibility for certain participants, particularly within invitation-based or private programmes.
6. Payment and refund policy
Tickets are strictly personal, non-transferable, and non-refundable.
In the event of inability to attend, a written request must be submitted to the organiser. Any exception remains subject to validation by the organiser.
7. Badges and access
Each participant receives a personal badge granting access to authorised areas depending on their accreditation.
The badge must be worn visibly throughout the event.
The organiser reserves the right to withdraw a badge in the event of:
- non-compliance with access rules,
- unauthorised transfer,
- failure to comply with event rules.
The organiser reserves the right of admission.
8. Networking and event application
Participants may be invited to create a profile on the official event application to facilitate professional exchanges.
The application enables participants to:
- identify other participants,
- schedule meetings,
- facilitate collaboration opportunities.
Each participant is responsible for the information they choose to share.
9. Code of conduct
The KBM is a professional event dedicated to business exchanges and partnerships.
Participants agree to adopt respectful behaviour aligned with the standards of a professional environment.
The following are strictly prohibited:
- discriminatory or harassing behaviour,
- aggressive or disruptive conduct,
- any illegal activity.
The organiser reserves the right to exclude any person who does not comply with these rules.
10. On-site safety
Participants agree to comply with all safety measures implemented at the event venue.
Security checks may be carried out at any time.
Any behaviour that may compromise the safety of the event may result in immediate exclusion.
11. Data protection
Personal data collected during registration is used exclusively for:
- managing registrations,
- organising the event,
- communication related to KBM,
- interactions between participants via the event application.
Participants may request access, modification, or deletion of their data by contacting the organiser.
12. Image and communication
Photographs, videos, and recordings may be taken during the event.
By participating in KBM, attendees authorise the organiser to use their image for communication and promotional purposes.
These contents may be distributed across various media, including:
- the website,
- social media,
- institutional publications.
13. Liability
The organiser implements reasonable measures to ensure the smooth running of the event.
However, it cannot be held responsible for:
- loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings,
- interactions between participants,
- commercial decisions, partnerships, or investments resulting from meetings held during the event.
14. Programme changes
The organiser reserves the right to modify:
- the programme,
- speakers,
- schedules,
- certain activities.
Such changes do not entitle participants to any refund.
15. Force majeure
In the event of exceptional circumstances or force majeure preventing the event from taking place under the planned conditions, the organiser reserves the right to postpone, adapt, or modify the event.
16. Applicable law
These general terms and conditions are governed by the applicable law in the organiser’s country.
Any dispute shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts.
17. Acceptance of terms
Registration for the Katanga Business Meeting implies full and unconditional acceptance of these general terms and conditions.
